lead up. was started in 2011. lead up. approaches leadership development with a bottom-up strategy. Instead of a hierarchical structure leading from the top down, you build your team, you lead up. not down.


lead up. empowers leaders to set expectations, lead by example and equips them to mentor their teams.


A 'lead-up' is defined as something that prepares the way for something else. With this in mind, I partner with leaders and their teams to create focused solutions that support their vision of the future. I helps them develop valuable skills, perspectives and practices to prepare for the future they envision.

I am passionate about coaching and facilitation, as well as personal accountability and continuous learning. I have a proven ability to collaborate with leaders and their teams as they work to communicate effectively, become more cohesive as a team, and develop valuable leadership skills. Through my experience and studies, I have learned to co-create solutions with my clients and help them apply proven and practical solutions with an objective and focused approach. By combining a strategic mix of leadership learning and one-to-one or group coaching, I guide my clients through the necessary steps required to reach their short and long term goals.


I am a Certified Professional Coach specializing in the areas of Leadership, Management and Career Development. I facilitate Everything DiSC programs, The Five Behaviours of a Cohesive Team, and Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). I am also a Strategic HR Advisor to small and mid-sized businesses.  


I believe that leadership is not specific to a role - that every person should take on the role of self-leadership. It is through self-leadership that we show up at our best and are able to impact the teams and organizations we

work with. I am able to support the development of leadership cultures through coaching, team development and HR strategy.

My professional experience spans just over twenty years, including ten years in mid and senior HR management roles. I have held diverse and progressive positions based in Canada and the US and has extensive experience in employee relations, corporate communications, training and development, change management, organizational development, client management, corporate administration, and strategic and business planning. I continue to learn through every client commitment as well as through my continuing professional development. I am currently completing the Master of Arts in Leadership program through Royal Roads University.
